It was a memorable 10 days of live music, with a diverse programme of over 400 shows featuring some of the finest established and emerging talent on the UK and global jazz scenes. In total, more than 2,000 artists performed across 60 venues in London, to a live Festival audience of over 100,000.

The Festival kicked off with a star-studded celebration of Jazz Voice, the iconic opening night gala evening broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. Some familiar names from the past 15 years appeared in the line-up, including Vanessa Haynes, China Moses and Brendan Reilly and a surprise appearance from actor Clarke Peters. Over the course of the Festival, there were many critically acclaimed performances, including sold out headline shows from Emile Sandé, Norah Jones, Ron Carter and Angélique Kidjo.

The EFG Elements Series returned with four shows reflecting the richness of the Festival programme, including sold out shows from the Brazilian legend Sérgio Mendes and influential bass guitarist Marcus Miller, who teamed up with the talented young saxophonist Camilla George. The Festival closed with a moving tribute to jazz visionary Wayne Shorter.

The EFG London Jazz Festival 2023 was a fitting celebration of our 15 years of partnership and embodied the successful and mutually beneficial relationship we have built over time.
