EFG renews title sponsorship of the EFG London Jazz Festival to 2026

After an amazing 30th birthday celebration in 2022, the EFG London Jazz Festival has just revealed the first wave of acts for this year’s Festival, which will take place from 10-19 November 2023. This year also marks the 15th anniversary of EFG’s partnership with the Festival and we are delighted to announce we have renewed our title sponsorship to 2026.

Every year, the EFG London Jazz Festival takes over London’s famous concert halls and jazz clubs for 10 days of live performances, special collaborations and exclusive new commissions, with a programme that features everyone from globally acclaimed jazz icons to the next generation of rising superstars.

The first artists announced in this year’s line-up include American musician Marcus Miller who performs alongside London based saxophonist Camilla George; Grammy Award winning Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes, and the legendary double-bassist Ron Carter. The Symphonic Music of Wayne Shorter will be a special night celebrating what would have been the artist’s 90th birthday, with an all-star bill including Esperanza Spalding on vocals, pianist Danilo Perez, saxophonist Ravi Coltrane and drummer Terri Lyne Carrington.

EFG’s 15 years of partnership with the Festival reflects our continued commitment to jazz and the Arts. Across the years, we have seen the Festival develop and diversify, entertaining and attracting both existing and new audiences. As well as playing host to some of the most celebrated jazz performances, the Festival is also an important platform for young aspiring artists and over time, many have gone on to return to the stages as established acts in their own right.

Richard AA Thomas MBE, CEO EFG Private Bank Limited said: “We are delighted to extend our title sponsorship of the EFG London Jazz Festival to 2026. 2023 marks the 15th year of our long-standing partnership and in that time, the Festival has thrived, maintaining its status as a flagship event in the global jazz calendar. The EFG London Jazz Festival has creativity, innovation and collaboration at its heart, all values we admire and aspire to share. Our ongoing commitment will enable the Festival to keep evolving and together with Serious, we can continue to invest in the next generation of talent, an important strand which underpins many of our global partnerships at EFG.”

Pelin Opcin, Director at Serious said: “We are extremely lucky and thankful for the continuous support of our title sponsor EFG, which enables us to strengthen our ongoing commitment to artists, new talent, audiences, creativity, collaboration, innovation and quality. In our 15 years of partnership we have worked in harmony and the continuation of this collaboration reaffirms our shared dedication to these core values.”

This year, our association also encompasses the EFG London Jazz Festival Summer Series, four very special headline concerts in June and July 2023 featuring Shakti, Kandace Springs, Branford Marsalis and the Abdullah Ibrahim Trio.

We will bring you more news on the exciting line-up together with our plans to celebrate 15 years of partnership with the EFG London Jazz Festival.
