Leading a strong field of Grand Slam and Gstaad Champions is Felix Auger-Aliassime (ATP 12), who joins fellow Canadian Denis Shapovalov (ATP 27), European Top 30 players Roberto Bautista Agut (Spain, ATP 23) and Jan-Lennard Struff (Germany, ATP 21) as well as former Gstaad champion Dominic Thiem (Austria, ATP 89). Also making his debut at Gstaad is rising Chinese star Zhizhen Zhang (ATP 55).
Local interest comes in the form of three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka (ATP 86), who returns to Gstaad after a ten year absence, and current leader of the Swiss rankings Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 80). The future of tennis is represented by young Bernese talent Dominic Stricker (ATP 115) as well as 21-year-old Jiří Lehečka (ATP 36) from the Czech Republic.
The tournament’s motto is ‘where the champions of today meet the stars of tomorrow’ and these young players will relish the chance to take on the top competitors at Gstaad. This ethos is also important to EFG as nurturing the next generation of talent is a cornerstone of many of our global partnerships.
It’s the second year of our title partnership with the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad, and we are pleased to see the organisers’ strategic investment into the venue continue to come to fruition. This year, a new roof has been constructed over Grandstand E, just behind the players’ bench, further enhancing the comfort and enjoyment of the spectators.
We will continue to bring you updates as the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad progresses and for more information on the tournament, including the full line-up, head to the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad website.
