Each new Fellowship year brings with it a wealth of opportunities, including partnerships with leading arts organisations, collaborations with acclaimed artists and the chance to perform in some iconic venues. These experiences help the young musicians discover their creative strengths and gain the vital orchestral capabilities needed to advance in the industry and make some lasting contacts.

In this video, you can hear first-hand from Southbank Sinfonia musicians and their partners, The Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Berkeley Ensemble, about the value of working ‘side by side’, and the impact on their personal development.

EFG is proud to be a long-standing partner of Southbank Sinfonia and we are pleased to renew our partnership to 2026. Since the start of our association in 2010, over 425 aspiring young musicians have completed the Fellowship, with many now occupying prominent seats in leading orchestras worldwide.

Rosie Fraser, CEO, Southbank Sinfonia at St John’s Smith Square was delighted at the news: “Having EFG as our Principal Partner means we have the commitment from their funding to invest in our young players at a crucial time in their career development and achieve our collective aim of nurturing young talent.”

Gabrielle Branson, Deputy CEO, EFG Private Bank Limited said: “Investing in the next generation is an important part of our social commitment at EFG and Southbank Sinfonia’s passion and commitment is clear to all who work with them. Every year, we take great pleasure in watching the musicians embrace the opportunities ahead and gain the valuable skills needed to in order to thrive in the professional world.”

Southbank Sinfonia’s new season will run from October 2023 to March 2024 and highlights include a series of Christmas concerts, famous symphonies, and family workshops. We wish this year’s Fellowship the very best of luck and hope they enjoy the opportunities the new season brings.
